A brass sculpture of Cupid. This piece presents a winged figure sitting on a stump with a bird on one shoulder. The work is unsigned and there are no apparent maker’s marks.

• Item tested as: zinc -36.47%, copper -60.46%, lead -1.44%

Condition

- a few nicks to finish, revealing some white spots to the verso of log seat and to the back of head and hair of cherub.
