A five-volume collection of the works of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. This collection was published in 1885 by George Barrie, Philadelphia, with a biographical introduction by Hjalmar H. Boyesen, Ph.D. It features illustrations throughout ‘by the Best German Artists’. Each volume is fully bound in leather on board with elaborate gilt work to the spine of each volume.
