A collection of Brazil silver flatware distributed by Royal Manufacturing Co. This collection includes six teaspoons, six tablespoons six forks and one twist handle butter spreader and one sugar spoon. This flatware is from the ‘Royal Engraved’ line and features a flared oval handle embellished with an acanthus leaf, trim and an embossed ‘L’ in Gothic script. The blades are marked “Royal Manufacturing Co. Solid Brazil Silver” and the other items are marked “Brazil Silver” to the verso. ’Brazilian Silver” is a name used for nickel silver, also called German silver; it has the appearance of a silvery-white color, but actually contains no silver at all. Typically, it is made up of copper, nickel, and zinc.
