Vintage Catholic Last Rites Sick Call Shadow Box
Item Details
A vintage Catholic last rites wall hanging shadow box with a chalkware figurine of The Madonna holding The Corpus of Christ. The piece features a wood case with two a painted glass pane to the top. The lower compartment features a hinged glass paned door with offset lithograph after Da Vinci’s The Last Supper. The interior of the lower compartment includes a candle and two candle snuffers.
Condition
- debris in crevasses of ceramic decoration; toning on print; toning and wear to backing paper on verso of frame; wire is stretched.
