Attributed Victorian Cornelius & Co. "Last of the Mohicans" Converted Lamp

A Victorian electrified girandole. lamp, attributed to Cornelius & Co. in the Last of the Mohicans pattern. The lamp has molded brass forms with two curling arms with one socket each. The leaf shaped brass sconces have faux candle socket sleeves and twisted pleat miniature shades embellished green, gold and red scalloped braid trim and amber tone beads. Hanging from the sconces are clear cut lead glass arrow shaped prisms. Standing on a stepped marble base is a molded brass tone facade depicting Daniel Boone with two Native Americans. The original girandole was manufactured in the mid 19th century by Cornelius & Co in Philadelphia; this example has been adapted for electricity. The lamp does not present visible maker’s marks.
