A limited edition serigraph on paper titled Daybreak created in 1982 by listed artist Antonio Peticov (Brazilian, born 1946). The Surrealist-inspired piece depicts a rainbow river flowing through a rolling green hillside, then becoming a waterfall over a moonlit evening landscape below. A shimmering river winds to the lower left of the composition, set between fields of green grass, against a backdrop of deep blue skies filled with stars. The work is signed and dated by the artist to the lower right, titled to the lower center and numbered to the lower left as 153 out of an edition of 195. It is matted in white and presented under glass in a silver tone metal frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- to fair; minor discoloration and wrinkling to paper; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; scratches, edge wear and blemishes to frame.
