Serpentine Mahogany Dresser and Wall Mirror by Drexel - Heritage
Item Details
A serpentine dresser and wall mirror by the Morganton Division of Drexel-Heritage. This piece features a mahogany veneered finish, a conforming tempered glass top over twelve drawers in a 3X4 array, resting on carved bracket feet. Each drawer front features a hanging brass pull and one drawer is stamped to the interior with a maker’s mark. The dresser is presented with a wall mirror featuring a curving carved frame. Drexel individually acquired Morganton and Heritage Furniture Companies in 1957. Heritage functioned as a subsidiary of Drexel Enterprises, Inc. and Morganton became a division of Heritage.
