A Dutch Zaanse atlas wall clock. The has a wood case with a mahogany finish that features a decorative metal figure of Atlas holding the world with side figures and the Dutch crest. The clock features elegant twist style brass tone side columns and a silvertone metal face with black Roman numerals and ornate brass hands and raised brass spandrels on the corners. Other features of the clock include a brass pendulum with a figure of a man riding a horse, teardrop-shaped gold tone weights on chains and an 8-day weight driven movement with bells on the half and the hour. The clock features a shaped base with carved gold tone scrollwork and embossed faces and a hook for hanging on the verso.
