A gouache painting of butterflies on paper by artist Jan Metzler. This piece features a painterly gray ground and depicts a cluster of flowers and grasses, a pair of butterflies feeding to either side. The work is signed ‘J. Metzler’ to its lower right and is double-matted under glass in a metal frame with a hanging wire to its verso along with a label bearing the artist’s name.

- minor scuffs to frame.
