A framed 19th Century Japanese hand embroidered kimono. The kurotomesode kimono is in black with white mon family crests, and hand-painted decorated hexagon geometrical honeycomb shapes and the mon symbol of the Toyotomi clan, the Japanese Imperial kamon symbol of a stylized chrysanthemum blossom, flora motif designs with a golden phoenix and hand embroidery in ivory-colored, white, silver metallic and golden thread. The kimono is housed under plexiglass in a large shadowbox with gold tone and black composite frame.
