A 1978 Xavier Roberts The Little People doll. This soft sculpture doll is named Alston Archibald and features a needle molded head with hand-painted blue eyes, brown yarn hair, rosy cheeks, and dimpled arms and legs. He is adorned in a graphic tee centered with stylized text reading ‘Disco Baby’ and a matching blue diaper cover. The doll is accompanied by its ‘Official Adoption Papers’ and personal photographs of the prior owners with the doll. This limited edition doll is hand crafted and signed by creator Xavier Roberts to the backside, and is a pre-cursor to the iconic Cabbage Patch Kids dolls produced by Coleco, then Mattel, among others.
