A mid century oil painting on canvas by listed Danish artist Theodor Nygaard (1892 – 1973). The Impressionist-style piece depicts a Danish street scene with figures walking along sunlit sidewalks, past city streets still wet from a recent cloudburst. The work is signed ‘Th. Nygaard’ in black paint to the lower left. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame with gold tone finish, fitted with hanging string to the verso.

- to fair; light inpainting to center left; scuffs, loose joints and edge wear to frame; tape to stretcher and frame; no backing paper present.
