A document signed by York Patriot James Smith. This document is presented beneath glass, blue matting, and encompassed by a black and gold tone frame with hanging wire affixed to its verso. The document signed by Smith is dated 1754 and orders William Shriner to answer to Robert Whinerly. James Smith was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and served in Congress as well as the High Court of Appeals. DS 1 page, oblong folio. The piece is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication.
