Harriet Beecher Stowe Autograph Note Signed 1876

Item Details

An autograph note signed by American abolitionist and author Harriet Beecher Stowe. Stowe, a Connecticut teacher and abolitionist, wrote thirty books including her 1852 novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin, invigorating the anti-slavery movement in the United States. She hand-wrote this religious sentiment, signing it at the bottom ‘Harriet Beecher Stowe, Hartford [Connecticut] Oct. 3, 1876.’ The piece is presented in a navy blue mat, under glass in a black frame with a gold-toned border, and sawtooth hanger and typewritten explanatory text to the verso. Hartford, October 3, 1876. ANS 1 page. The piece is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication.
