A wonderful look to this pair of brightly painted midcentury children’s chair. With De Stijl overtones, the pair exhibit elements of the Dutch style with ‘pure abstraction and universality by a reduction to the essentials of form and colour; they simplified visual compositions to the vertical and horizontal directions, and used only primary colors along with black and white’. Sculptural and functional. Great examples with vivid color.
