A vintage Sessions Somerset banjo wall clock. The clock is an ionic timepiece in an American classic style with a mahogany wood case and a bim bam strike. The clock features a round bonnet with a brass framed glass door that displays a silvered dial with slightly raised black and goldtone Arabic numbers, two key arbors and black serpentine hands. Other features of the clock include a wood center panel with decorative inlaid trim and brass scrolled side accents. The clock features a wood cabinet on the base with a glass-paneled and brass hinged door that displays a brass pendulum. The clock has an 8-day time and strikes movement with bim bam strikes on the hour and harmony on the half hour and a hook for haning on the verso. The clock is marked ‘Sessions’ on the face and verso.
