A 1950s-1960s Wiedemann Beer electrified beer sign. In the colors of red, green, white, and black, this sign is constructed of a durable plastic material. Retaining its original metal hardware and electrical cord, this sign reads ’Wiedemann’s Fine Beer’ and portrays the company’s logo. Underneath this sign, there is a piece of acrylic with green lettering that says ’It’s Registered!.’ On the backside, there is a white print that reads Property Of Geo. Wiedemann Brewing Co. Newport, KY.’ Also, ton the backside, there is a paper label that states ‘The Ohio Advertising Display Co.’ .‘Founded in 1870, the George Wiedemann Brewing Company, became Kentucky’s largest brewery. It was located at 601 Columbia Street in Newport, Kentucky. Wiedemann beer was synonymous with Newport. Wiedemann promoted itself as ’America’s only registered beer.’
