1950s-1960 Wiedemann Beer Lighted Motion Sign

A 1950s-1960s Wiedmann Beer light up motion beer sign. In the patriotic colors of red. white, and blue, this sign depicts an American eagle at the top portraying moving wings when turned on. Constructed of a durable plastic material, this mid-century sign maintains its original electrical cord and hardware. The backside still retains its original maker’s paper label which reads ‘The Ohio Advertising Display Co.’ There is a pull chain for the on/off switches on the backside. Founded in 1870, the George Wiedemann Brewing Company, which became Kentucky’s largest brewery. was located at 601 Columbia Street in Newport, Kentucky. Wiedemann beer was synonymous with Newport. Wiedemann promoted itself as ’America’s only registered beer.’
