A limited edition etching on paper titled Tyson St. by Lutherville, Maryland artist Erma Davis Bates (née Erma Helena Davis, 1886-1978). This piece depicts a quiet street shaded by manicured trees, the front steps of several homes running along the sidewalk behind them. This print is titled and signed in plate ‘Erma H. Davis’ and is signed and numbered 72/350 in pencil to its lower margin. It is mounted under glass in a gilt frame and has a hanging wire to its verso.
Condition
- fair; toning and foxing throughout paper with crease marks lower left; wear to gilt on edges of frame; toning and backing paper remnants at verso of frame.
