A grouping of flower-themed tinsel paintings. These three pieces each feature an oval panel of reverse-painted glass laid over colorful metallic foil, depicting delicately-rendered flowers. One of the three also depicts a pair of birds, and all three are presented in wooden oval frames with hanging wires to their versos. Tinsel painting was a popular form of American folk art throughout the 19th century, particularly among educated women.

Condition

- fair; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; worn frame finishes; one has tape to backing while others have residue and wear from previously being taped.
