A hand-tufted Chinese Chen Chu carved wool accent rug by Trans Ocean. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, black, ivory, gold, sage, lavender, and rust. The sculpted crimson colored field begins with a central fret medallion with added lotus blooms and scrolls, and it features butterflies and sprays throughout, along with flower filled vases serving as spandrels. Framing the field is black grounded main border with similar motifs of flowers and butterflies. Finishing this rug is a cotton binding and backing, along with an ivory fringe to the ends. The rug is labeled to the underside.
