An oil painting on canvas of a nautical scene by an artist signing the work ‘L. Raymond’. This piece, rendered with painterly brushstrokes, depicts several anchored boats floating atop rippling waters and a solitary figure standing on the edge of a pier. It is signed by hand to the lower right corner. The painting is housed in a wooden frame with a beige fabric liner and a metal hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- wear to edges of frame; craquelure present throughout painting; staining to lower margin of fabric liner; dust and accretions present to frame and painting’s surface; some discoloration.
