Circa 1920s Martha Washington-Style Mahogany Sewing Cabinet

An unusual vintage, circa 1920s, Martha Washington-style mahogany sewing cabinet. The cabinet has a square center section with half-round compartments, or ‘project pockets’, to either side. The center section features an overhung top with straight, square sides, and it features three dovetailed drawers, fitted with round wood knobs. The half-round, seven-sided compartments have hinged lids. The cabinet rests on straight, fluted and turned legs, and there are no maker’s marks.

- some surface marks, dings and wear; scratches; area of partially detached chipped wood to the lower left front above the leg; front right leg is slightly crooked
