Portfolio of Serigraphs after Raoul Dufy

A portfolio of serigraphs and metzographs after works by Raoul Dufy (1877-1953) with a forward by Marcelle Berr de Turique from the Pierre Levy collection, dated 1969. This portfolio features an introduction written in French about Raoul Dufy and his place within the Fauvist movement along with four serigraphs and two metzographs after his original paintings. The prints are signed in plate and all pages are presented within a burlap portfolio.
Raoul Dufy was born in Le Havre, France and is known for paintings of beach scenes, illustrations, and designs during the Fauvist movement. He studied at the Ecole des Baeux-Art and his work now remains is such collections as the Hermitage, St. Petersburg; The Art Institute of Chicago, IL; Accademica Carrara, Bergamo; Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco; Kunstmuseum Basel, Switzerland; Museum of Provencal Art & History, Grasse; Tate Gallery, London; Musee Royal des Beaux-Arts, Copenhagen; Musee des Beaux-Arts, Le Havre; Museum of Modern Art, New York, and Musee National d’Art Moderne, Paris
