A large painting on canvas signed ‘Volk’. This abstract work is painted in a palette of scarlet, golden yellow, and gold tone metallic paint, and it features a large red cross that splits the composition into quadrants, the lower right of which is painted with yellow that emerges from behind the thinly-brushed red of the other three sections. It is signed to the lower left and has a thick layer of clear varnish applied to the surface. The work is presented mounted above a tiered gold tone wood frame, exposing the painted sides of the canvas.
