An oil painting on canvas of a landscape. This painting depicts a cascading waterfall surrounded by a lush canopy of trees, which wraps to the foreground enclosing a rocky ridge with two figural forms seen to the lower right corner. The unsigned painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame featuring moulded beaded, acanthus leaf and floral motifs.
Condition
- notable craquelure to surface of painting; spots of paint missing to upper left corner; moderate wear to frame; staining, discoloration and fraying of canvas wrapped to verso; staining to typed tag on verso.
