As military aide and friend to both Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft, Captain Archibald Willingham Butt was given intimate access to the real lives of two colorful First Families. He recorded all their words and deeds in private letters to his sister, who posthumously published them almost two decades after his famous death on the R.M.S. Titanic on April 15, 1912. This set was published by Doubleday, Doran & Company in 1930.
