Early 20th Century, this posy vase is a stunning example of antique majolica by one of Europe’s leading potters, Julius Dressler of Beila, Bohemia.

The amphora shaped vase is richly decorated with a swirling relief molded pattern, Art Nouveau in style, finished in a rich cobalt blue glaze with gold gilt accents. Relief acanthus leaves drape to its body glazed in a mottled green, the leaves swirl around yellow medallions and twirl upwards to form double handles.
Factory mark for Julius Dressler Biela and numbered 439 to bottom. Its pair is listed in number 356.
