Item Details
An oil painting on canvas board by listed American artist Eugene LaForet (born 1931). This landscape scene depicts a footpath winding around a corner in between a blue lake and a forest showing the warm colors of autumn. A range of blue mountains is visible in the distance beyond the lake. The work is signed in the lower left ‘E. LaForet’. It is presented in a wood frame with a hanging wire mounted to the verso, along with a label from LaForet’s New York City gallery.
Condition
- image area is dirty; lacquer over painting has yellowed; dark wood frame showing nicks and scratches around the frame.
