Japanese Style Katana with Etched Grip and Scabbard

Item Details

A Japanese style katana with an etched grip and scabbard. This sword features a single-edged, slightly curved blade with an applied tempering lines and a five-character mark (石川松井二) to the ricasso. The solid tsuba hand guard leads to an etched grip with Japanese characters to one side, a mekugi peg, and an etched kabuto end cap with a lanyard. Also included is an etched scabbard with a similar pattern, and with etched suspension ring bands, throat, and end cap.

Condition

- minor tarnish to the blade, habaki mount, and tsuba crossguard; minor scuffs to the grip and scabbard.
