Le Corbusier Orange Leather and Chrome Sofa
Item Details
A Le Corbusier (Swiss-French, 1887-1965) orange leather and chrome sofa, circa the 1970s, more than likely Cassina. With a tubular, box-form frame features a down-filled, three-cushion back and seat flanked by a pair of lateral cushions. The seating platform is composed of black rubber straps and the sofa rises on six cylindrical legs centered by two shaped, medial supports. Some of the cushions retain tags marked ‘Piuma’ and ‘25/11/76’, otherwise there are no maker’s marks.
