A collection of memorabilia for Franklin D. Roosevelt’s first and second inaugurations. This lot features a copy of the inaugural program for Roosevelt and Vice President John Nance Gardner’s first inauguration on March 4, 1933, bearing an image of the two inaugurees to the front cover. Also included are four photos from Roosevelt’s 1937 second inauguration in January 1937, showing parades of cadets, the President and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt in an open-topped car, the inauguration procedure, and a crowd of rain-soaked attendees listening to Roosevelt’s inaugural speech, along with a typewritten caption sticker applied to the bottom right.
