An oil painting by well listed Kentucky artist Carolyn Young Hisel (1942-2017). This Expressive figurative painting depicts two children in a lightly wooded landscape. One figure appears atop a slide and the other on a swing. A piece of multi-colored fabric is visible in the foreground. The sky above is filled with purple and pink clouds which hang over a distant pale purple mountain range. This piece is signed and dated (’99) to the lower right. It is presented in a silver-tone composite frame. The verso of this piece is equipped to hang.

Hisel (1942-2017) is a widely exhibited artist from Lexington, Kentucky. Hisel studied at the University of Kentucky and is most known for her figural narrative paintings.
