Mid 20th Century Oil Painting of Floral Still Life
Item Details
A oil painting on composite board of a floral still life, circa 1954. The work depicts a blue vase on a chair filled with wildflowers. The scene is rendered in thin applications of paint with numerous areas revealing the ground underneath. To the lower right corner is the illegible signature and date. The item is presented in a silver tone wood frame. To the verso is a partial bust-length portrait, a figural nude, and a sketched cat.
Condition
- minor scuffing to the finish on the frame; areas of discoloration to the surface of the paint, notably in the lower left corner; numerous pin-sized holes to the upper portion of the work.
