Replica Gladius Swords
Item Details
A collection of three gladius swords. The gladius was the short and effective stabbing sword of the Roman infantry in classical times, and the source of the word gladiator. These three replicas each have straight, diamond-shaped blades with black and dimpled pommels and guards, and fabric grips wrapped in white thread. No maker’s marks are visible.
Condition
- some rust and chipping to blades; some edge wear to hilts; one has duct tape repair to grip.
