An oil painting on canvas by listed German-born artist Franz Ambrasath (1889-1974). This painting depicts a pair of fishing boats at sea with an outcropping of land on the left that has a Dutch windmill placed at the end. The work is painted with expressive brushwork and vibrant use of color, and it is signed in paint to the lower left corner. This piece is presented in a gold tone metal frame with a linen liner and wire to the verso for hanging.
