A watercolor and gouache painting on paper by listed Ohio-born artist Royal Hill Milleson (1849-1935). This painterly landscape depicts a line of housetops as seen over the crest of a stony hill, autumnal trees rising to either side and a hazy blue forest visible along the horizon. The piece is signed to its lower left and is double-matted under glass in a gold tone frame with a hanging wire to its verso.
