An artist’s proof offset lithograph titled Landing at Fort Fisher by listed Texas artist John Strain (b. 1955). This piece features a scene from the union army’s attack on the confederate Fort Fisher, depicting the soldiers storming the beach at the port of Wilmington. This print is signed in plate and is signed and numbered ‘AP 13/40’ in gold tone ink. It is double-matted behind glass with a descriptive plaque to the matting’s lower edge and is mounted in a silver tone frame with a hanging wire and artist’s biography to its verso.
