A third edition of the book On the Art of Cutting Metals, signed by the author and published in 1906 by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Fred W. Taylor was a mechanical engineer who invented the Taylor-White process for tempering steel, as well as a high-speed cutting tool that won awards at international expositions. Most know him for his shop management philosophies, many of which are still used today, which earned him the title ‘Father of Scientific Management.’ He was featured in the PBS documentary series They Made America.
