A collection of Ghanaian folk art masks. Each of the three wooden masks is carved and painted by hand and originates from Ghana, all representing different meanings in the culture. The brown mask bears a tag which describes the mask as a ceremonial ‘ghost mask’ which is ‘used by Ivory Coast tribes to communicate with the god of Zlan’. The other two masks are unmarked.
