An oil painting on canvas of a street scene by Italian artist Ciro Canzanella (b. 1948). This painterly piece depicts a gray street scattered with colorfully-dressed figures and lined with market stands. The work is signed by the artist to its lower left and features a second signature, along with an illegible title, to its verso. This painting is mounted in a wooden frame with a textile liner and a wire for hanging, a notation to its verso reading ‘Purchased – May 1985, Naples, Italy, while attending NATO Defense Collage, Rome, Italy.’
