Item Details
A group of three Byzantine style oil on board paintings of religious icons. The first depicts Saint George, wielding a sword and spear. The second features an image of the Madonna and child and the third depicts the Archangel Michael holding a spear and an orb. All three are portrayed with tightly rendered faces, and more loosely rendered details and backgrounds, accented with metallic gold-tone pigments. The works are unsigned and are presented unframed, with wires to the verso for hanging.

- accretion throughout. Wear to board edges.
