A sterling silver flatware set by Reed & Barton. This is in the Ernest Meyers designed Francis I pattern, first introduced in 1907, which features ornate handles with foliate and fruit motifs. The set includes twelve iced tea spoons, twelve place spoons, twelve teaspoons, twelve cocktail forks, twelve salad forks, twelve dinner forks, four salt spoons with gold-washed bowls, a sugar shell spoon, a tomato server, a meat fork, two small round slotted spoons, a jelly server, two ladles, a pair of salt and pepper shakers, two pickle forks, a lemon fork, two solid serving spoons, and a slotted serving spoon. They are presented with six dinner knives, six luncheon knives, twelve butter spreaders, a master butter knife, a carving fork and knife set, a cheese server, a pasta server, a casserole spoon, a lasagna server, and a pie server, all with hollow sterling handles and stainless components. Each piece is marked ‘Sterling Reed & Barton’. The total approximate weight, excluding items with stainless steel components and hollow handles, is 120.905 ozt.
