An oil painting on canvas by Lastel (born 1920). This landscape, inspired by the Barbizon School, depicts a calm stream that passes through a forest and under an arched footbridge that leads to a rural village. It is signed in paint to the lower left and labeled to the verso. The piece is presented in a gold tone frame with molded gesso details and wire to the verso for hanging.

- moderate discoloration to image; wear to frame with moderate loss of finish to molding.
