An artist’s proof etching on paper titled Butterfly in the Garden II by artist Joy Jerviss. This print uses the a la poupée technique of applying color to the print, and depicts a single butterfly flitting over a stone wall with a crowded floral ground behind it. The print is titled to the lower left, marked as an artist’s proof to the lower center, and signed to the lower right in graphite. It is presented behind a mat and glass in a wood frame that is wired to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- some clouding to underside of glass; scratches and wear throughout frame; tears to paper backing.

- measures frame; plate marks measure 16.75" W x 13.75" H.
