1953 Arthur Conan Doyle Signed Limited Edition "The Complete Sherlock Holmes"

A limited edition copy of The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle. This limited edition two-volume set is signed to the flyleaf by Doyle and is number 63 of 147 copies. At the behest of the publisher, Doyle signed extra blank sheets prior to his death in 1930, and these were incorporated into the present volumes, which were published in 1953 by Doubleday & Company. The books are bound in half morocco cloth covered boards with leather spines, and come presented in their original slipcase.
