Antique Federal Style Chair and Vintage Chippendale Style Chair

An antique Federal style, mahogany shield back chair and a vintage Chippendale style upholstered chair. The Federal-style chair features an arched crest rail over pieced splat with shoe molding and curved stiles, a slip seat. The chair rises on square tapered legs joining the back legs via side stretchers. The Chippendale style, walnut chair features a high, upholstered back with serpentine crest, cushioned seat including nailhead trim, shaped corner brackets and Marlborough legs and stretchers. There are no visible maker’s marks.
