A signed woodcut print by Hawaiian artist Tomas Belsky. This single color relief image depicts two sea turtles swimming in dark vast water. Hawaiian language text ‘He Pono No Ka Honu/ E Malama O’ia’ along the lower left of the image translates in English to ‘Fit For Swimming/ Take Care of It’. Printed text below the image reads ‘Righteous Is The Turtle. Protect Him!’. The work is marked with a finger print and signed in graphite ‘Belsky’ in the lower right, and hand numbered 41 in an open edition. It is presented under glass with a black mat in a textured wood frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.

Condition

Good; The paper is wrinkled, but does not have a permanent crease.
