Item Details
A 1980 watercolor painting on paper titled The Hunters by Burgess. The piece depicts the portrait of a male figure in a hunting cap set against an off-white background accented with layered strokes of variegated grey, indigo and pink hues. To the background are renderings of a bald eagle perched on a tree branch and a golden eagle in flight. The painting is titled and signed ‘Burgess ’80’ in grey paint to the lower right. It is double-matted in blue and tan and presented under glass in a wooden frame with dark finish, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

- minor edge wear and scratching to frame.
