Portuguese Ceramic Soup Tureen with Tray
Item Details
A Portuguese ceramic soup tureen with tray. This hand painted piece is decorated with panels of floral motifs in hues of purple accented with yellow and green geometrical borders and blue trim. The tureen has a domed, fitted lid adorned with an applied finial shaped with wings and applied scrolled side handles also accented with blue trim. It rests on an octagonal base and includes a serving tray presented in an identical design. Each piece is marked to the underside ‘Hand Painted, Made in Portugal’ and includes a green importer’s stamp.
Condition
- wear is consistent with use; light discoloration to the underside.
